Tile
Choosing the tile for your pool and spa
can be a challenge because there are so many wonderful
designs available to choose from. It would be difficult
to present all the choices here so we have decided
instead to offer you links to our favorite tile
suppliers. Besides tile, these suppliers also provide
brick coping. Please note that Downunda Aquatic Environments is
not limited to these suppliers. If you have something
else in mind or don't see what you are looking for,

Decking
and Coping
|
| |
| One of
the choices you will need to make is the type of
decking and coping to go around your new pool. There
are a variety of choices to complement your design,
budget, and taste. Below are some of the popular
decking choices. Downunda Aquatic Environments can also provide
imported, custom or exotic materials should your
special project call for it. Your Downunda Aquatic Environments
representative can tell you more about your choices
and provide a number of brochures and catalogs. |
| Perhaps the most popular type of pool
decking is Sundeck.
Sundeck stays cooler than plain concrete
and is slip-resistant, even when wet. Sundeck
comes in various pastel colors. Shown here
with brick coping. |
 |
| A long time favorite of pool owners
is the pebble
finish. Shown here with a flagstone
coping, this finish is hard to beat for
many applications. |
 |
| For the true, natural look of flagstone
and slate, nothing gives your pool more
charm and elegance than
authentic stone.
Individually cut and hand-laid, flagstone
and slate is probably the most beautiful
and durable of all pool decking. Shown here
is a tightly-fitted flagstone cantilever-edge |
|
| If you want the natural appearance of
flagstone, slate, brick or saltillo tile
without the cost, you can create it with
patterned deck
finishes. These patterns are created
in concrete to look like stone, brick and
tile. Each individual stone or tile square
is hand-colored after the pattern has been
created and can be colorized to your personal
preference. |
|
| When you want your pool to be special
and unique, you might consider
high-end materials.
Shown here is a thick imported Italian marble
tile. |
